Privacy
How data is handled on the website and in the service.
This notice is tailored to a guest Wi-Fi voucher platform with optional SMS authentication.
1. Scope
This privacy notice explains how data can be processed on the public website and while operating the Guest Connector guest access service.
Voucher-based guest access can usually be used without directly identifying a person. If SMS authentication is enabled, phone numbers can become personal data.
2. Controller
The controller for the public website is Samuel Heinrich, Binningen, Baselland, Switzerland.

3. Website access and technical data
When the website is opened, technical server data can be processed to keep the site available and secure.
This can include in particular the IP address, date and time of access, requested page, browser information and other technical request metadata.
- technical delivery of the website
- stability and troubleshooting
- security monitoring and abuse prevention
4. Vouchers, portal usage and operational logs
Guest Connector is primarily designed for voucher-based guest access. In this mode the service can usually be operated without collecting classic identity data such as name or postal address.
Depending on configuration, technical operational data can still be processed, for example voucher identifiers, timestamps, device-related data, RADIUS events or other network-related log entries needed to run and document guest access.
5. SMS authentication
If SMS authentication is enabled, the phone number entered by the user is processed in order to deliver a verification code and validate the login.
The software currently only requires the phone number for this flow. No additional person data such as name or address is required by the software itself for SMS verification.
Depending on configuration and logging requirements, the phone number can currently also appear in technical logs or verification records.
6. Cookies and local storage
The public website can store a language preference cookie so the selected language remains active across visits.
The selected visual theme can be stored in the browser's local storage. These settings are used only for presentation and convenience.
7. Storage, deletion and rights
Data should only be stored for as long as it is required for operation, security, support or legal retention duties. The exact storage period depends on the respective deployment and configuration.
If you want information about stored personal data or want to request correction or deletion where applicable, please use the contact details listed in the imprint.
