How does the web / RADIUS flow work?
Guest redirect starts on the web portal. RADIUS is optional and sits behind that flow for backend authentication or sync.
Is HTTP secure?
No. Plain HTTP is not encrypted.
Does the guest login step need to be secure?
Usually not for the initial captive-portal redirect step. That stage is often only the guest onboarding handoff. Admin access should stay on HTTPS.
Can the portal still run on HTTPS?
Yes. HTTPS is possible. Some captive flows still keep HTTP enabled for compatibility during the redirect stage.
Is the admin area encrypted?
Yes. The admin host is intended to run on HTTPS.
